If you’ve ever sat in a nursing lecture and thought “why does everyone else seem to get this but me?” — this space is for you.

Hi, I’m Sandy. I’m a nursing student, a first-gen college graduate, and someone who made it through two degrees at the University of Houston completely undiagnosed with ADHD. No accommodations, no medication — just me white-knuckling through every exam and wondering why I had to work twice as hard as everyone around me.

After finally getting diagnosed and finding the right support, everything changed. I’m now in nursing school with a 4.0 GPA. Something I genuinely never thought was possible for my brain.

But here’s what I realized: the tools that exist weren’t built for students like us.

Not for the bilingual student code-switching between English and Spanish while also trying to memorize pharmacology. Not for the first-gen student who doesn’t know how to ask for accommodations because nobody taught them they were allowed to. Not for the neurodivergent student whose brain works differently — not deficiently.

So I built Nursing Con Amor.

This platform is for:

Everything here is grounded in real learning science — cognitive load theory, retrieval practice, dual coding — and delivered in both English and Spanish. Because you deserve tools that actually work for your brain.

What’s coming:

You found this place for a reason. Welcome home. 🤍

Enseñamos con amor — siempre.
